The breeding codes listed below are to be used for this part of the survey. The aim is not only to match the code to the observation, but to further the value of the record by aiming for a 'better' observation. For example, if a bird is observed visiting a probable nest site (N), why not observe a while longer to see if the bird can be observed carrying a faecal sac away (FS). The further down the list we can go, the better the value of the breeding record.
